BMW has already invested in the tech, and Bugatti used it to build a gnarly titanium brake caliper. Ford Ken Block has been doing wild stuff behind the wheel of Ford vehicles for years now, and one of his latest cars required him to lean on the manufacturer’s work in 3D printing.In the process of building his 900-plus-horsepower “Hoonitruck,” which stars in Block’s new Gymkhana 10 video, it was determined that they’d need a big, complex intake manifold to supply the truck’s twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 with air. Off-the-shelf solutions clearly wouldn’t be able to handle the air required to make all that power.Thus, Ford Performance came to the rescue. Working with Ford’s own engineers in Europe, as well as RWTH Aachen University in Germany, the team designed and 3D-printed an aluminum intake manifold that could handle the required volume of air. Most small businesses can’t afford remote work arrangements.Advances in technology have enabled us to do our work from practically anywhere at any time. Yet, what many entrepreneurs may not know is that providing employees with remote capabilities can be affordable and even preferable to in-house work arrangements. Remote workers are often more productive and satisfied, plus they give business owners access to a larger talent pool.Thanks to the power of cloud computing and the wide range of software available over the Internet, you can cost effectively enable employees to work remotely, sometimes even eliminating the need for physical office space, networking infrastructure and an expensive lease.For instance, programs such as Microsoft Office 365 can give workers online access to a complete set of communication and collaboration tools for $6 per user, per month. If you are worried about Facebook tracking your web activities outside Facebook, you can now prevent it from doing so using the Facebook Container extension for Firefox, that Mozilla launched on Wednesday. This extension is supported in Firefox 57 and higher on Desktop but does not work on other browsers and Firefox for mobile. Facebook Container extension, which goes by the tagline “What happens outside Facebook stays outside of Facebook”, isolates your Facebook identity into a separate container. And, hence makes it difficult for Facebook from tracking your activities outside the social media platform with third-party cookies. Facebook Container extension will close your Facebook tabs, delete your Facebook cookies, and log you out of Facebook. All the non-Facebook links you click on or non-Facebook websites you navigate to will be loaded outside of the container. To prevent Facebook from associating information about user activity on websites outside of Facebook to their Facebook identity, embedded Facebook comments and like buttons in tabs outside the Facebook Container will not work. Additionally, the “directly sign-in with Facebook credentials” option on other websites will not work properly, as it is designed to separate Facebook use from use of other websites. The extension is not meant for stopping Facebook advertisements and recommendations on their site. But, this will surely limit Facebook to use your activity collected off Facebook to send you ads and other targeted messages. To read more in detail, check out Mozilla’s website.
